Pour des enregistrements avec au maximum six canaux (par exemple pour du 5.1 surround), le câble K Surround (H) MM avec un connecteur multi-point vers XLR  est très utilisé (« X » correspond au longueur du câble en mètres).

Le câble adaptateur AK Surround M/5U distribue ce signal multicanal vers cinq connecteurs XLR-3.
